It is highly discouraged. Oxygen concentrators draw significant power. Using a thin or low-quality extension cord can lead to voltage drops, overheating, or even fire hazards.

What is the 'Purity Alarm' on an oxygen concentrator?
Created by Pooja Joshi (1 month ago) Most machines have a sensor that monitors oxygen concentration. If the purity drops below 80-85%, an alarm sounds. This usually means the 'Sieve Beds' inside need professional replacement.

What is 'Pulse Dose' vs 'Continuous Flow' in portables?
Created by David D'Costa (1 month ago) Continuous flow provides oxygen constantly. Pulse dose (POCs) detects your inhalation and 'puffs' oxygen only when you breathe in, which significantly saves battery life.

How long do the internal 'Sieve Beds' last?
Created by Jaspreet Singh (1 month ago) Depending on the environment (dust/humidity) and usage, they typically last 5,000 to 10,000 hours. If the machine runs but the patient's oxygen level doesn't rise, the sieve beds may be exhausted.
